How long after surgery can normal life be resumed?

The time to return to normal life after limb lengthening depends on the amount of lengthening and each patient's recovery. In general:

Light daily activities: These can be resumed from the beginning of the process, with some adaptations and support from crutches if necessary.
Walking without support: Typically, after 3 to 6 months, depending on bone consolidation.
Exercise and moderate physical activities: Between 6 and 12 months, following the doctor and physiotherapist's instructions.
High-impact sports or intense physical exertion: This may take a year or more, as the bone needs to be fully strengthened.
Each case is different, so medical follow-up is essential to determine when it is safe to resume each activity.
